Jack in the Box Restaurants Add Applesauce to Kid's Meal
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 1, 2004--Much like Johnny Appleseed brought bountiful apple trees to the land, Jack is bringing applesauce to the people, the "littlest" people that is. Beginning today, every Jack in the Box(R) Kid's Meal(R) will come with a 4-ounce serving of Mott's Original Applesauce.
"Today's consumers want more nutritious options for themselves and for their children," said Jody Sawyer, marketing manager for Jack in the Box. "And applesauce is one of those foods that satisfy both a parent's need for nourishing fare and a child's desire for something sweet and delicious."
In addition to applesauce, Jack's Kid's Meal includes the choice of a hamburger, cheeseburger or Chicken Breast Strips with a side of fries, the choice of soda or 2-percent milk and a toy. Jack's Kid's Meal is available for the suggested price, excluding tax, of $2.39 (hamburger), $2.59 (cheeseburger) and $3.29 (Chicken Breast Strips) at all participating Jack in the Box restaurants.
Jack in the Box Inc. (NYSE: JBX) operates and franchises two restaurant chains, Jack in the Box(R) and Qdoba Mexican Grill(R), in 33 states combined.
