Let Them Eat Steak! Jack in the Box(R) Restaurants Takes Fast-Food to the Next Level with New Sirloin Steak 'n' Cheddar Ciabatta Sandwich

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 2, 2006--Want a great-tasting steak without the pomp, circumstance and price tag of a ritzy steakhouse? Then try Jack in the Box(R) restaurants' new Sirloin Steak 'n' Cheddar Ciabatta Sandwich. The product features tender, marinated, 100-percent sirloin steak on toasted ciabatta bread with cheddar cheese, red onions, tomatoes and green leaf lettuce topped with a creamy peppercorn mayo.

"Consumers expect more from fast-food restaurants these days," said Teka O'Rourke, director of menu marketing at Jack in the Box Inc. "They want the same upscale menu items they order at casual or sit-down restaurants, but served in a way that's affordable and portable. A high-quality sirloin steak sandwich fits the bill."

The Sirloin Steak 'n' Cheddar Ciabatta Sandwich is the latest in Jack in the Box restaurants' growing list of menu items featuring the chain's signature hearth-baked ciabatta bread, including the Bruschetta Chicken Ciabatta and the Ciabatta Breakfast Sandwich. Jack's Sirloin Steak 'n' Cheddar Ciabatta Sandwich is available for the suggested price, excluding tax, of $4.59 at all participating Jack in the Box restaurants.
